Every year, visitors flock to the annual Hampyeong Butterfly Festival in Hampyeong, Jeollanam-do for the sight of tens of thousands of butterflies, as well as several eco-friendly programs like the beetle wrestling competition and an insect race.
This year, the festival will begin on April 29th and run for 12 days under the theme of ‘Happy World with Butterflies.’ The festival will present a butterfly flying event, an outdoor ecology program and a plant exhibition, and host other various activities such as mudfish catching, traditional cattle herding and folk games.
The festival admission tickets can be purchased online at a 10% discount starting now until April 28th. Afterwards, they can be bought at the festival.
